Kevin has been a trial lawyer for 20 years. At Michigan Auto Law, he specializes in litigation involving car crashes and No-Fault insurance matters, as well as municipal vehicle cases such as bus accidents and truck accidents. Kevin has argued complex legal issues before the Michigan Court of Appeals on several occasions and achieved victories for his clients every time. He has obtained millions of dollars for his injured clients, and is a tenacious fighter both inside and out of the courtroom.
In 2019, Kevin completed an intensive five-day course offered by the National College of Advocacy at Harvard Law School in courtroom techniques titled “Ultimate Trial Advocacy Course®: Art of Persuasion” Recognized as the gold standard in courtroom persuasion training for trial lawyers, the event is sponsored annually by the American Association for Justice (AAJ).
Kevin’s awards for his clients have made the Michigan Lawyers Weekly list of the top-reported verdicts and settlements in the state for six of the past seven years.
Kevin’s 2018 settlements include a $5.1 million case in Washtenaw County for a wrongful death car accident, a $1.5 million rear-end collision by a semi-truck, a $1.375 million case in Washtenaw County for a rear-end collision caused by an unqualified truck driver, a $1.15 million case in Oakland County for a rear-end collision caused by a truck with insufficiently maintained brakes, and a $910,000 traumatic brain injury case in Berrien County for an intersection collision.
Kevin also made the list in the previous year for a $3,325,000 settlement in a commercial motor vehicle wrongful death case in Washtenaw County, a $2 million Oakland County settlement for a nursing instructor’s broken leg as well as a $1.63 million case settled at day of trial for a Van Buren County crash involving multiple semi-tractor trailers during a snow storm.- Kevin H.
