Charles W. Miller is a managing partner of Miller and Falkner. After spending many years of his career representing some of the largest companies and hospitals through Kentucky, Charles Miller took that experience, skill and training obtained from defending large companies and hospitals and put it to use pursuing the rights of injured individuals when he started Miller and Falkner. Today Charles Miller’s practice focuses upon trial work in personal injury litigation, employment and labor-related litigation, medical negligence, motor vehicle accident litigation, defective products litigation, racial discrimination, host workplace/ environment litigation, sexual harassment, and Family Medical Leave Act litigation.
From 2008 through 2010, Charles was one of four hearing officers appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to preside over claims filed against the Commonwealth of Kentucky, its departments and subdivisions, and to render recommended findings of fact, conclusions of law, and orders awarding or denying damages asserted by Claimants after a formal hearing is conducted.
Charles attended the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, graduating in 1997 with honors. While in law school, Charles earned several awards including the Marlin M. Volz Scholarship for Academic Excellence and the Corpus Juris Secundum Award for excellence in the Field of Civil Procedure. Charles was also a member of the national Environmental Law Moot Court Team and a member of the University of Louisville Journal of Family Law.
Charles is admitted to practice before the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United Stated District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Kentucky and the Southern District of Indiana. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association, and the American and Kentucky Associations of Trial Attorneys.
Charles grew up in Louisville, Kentucky attending Pleasure Ridge Park High School and Western Kentucky University. He has a Federal Aviation Administration Private Pilot’s license and currently resides in Louisville with his two sons.- Charles W. MillerLouisville, Kentucky, 40202 United States
